Wired microphone

There are several types of wired microphones, each with different mechanisms for converting sound into an electrical signal:
  • Dynamic microphones: These are robust and versatile, making them ideal for live sound and vocals. They are known for their ability to handle high sound pressure levels and often have a unidirectional (cardioid) pickup pattern, which helps reduce feedback. The

  • Condenser microphones: These microphones offer higher sensitivity and a wider frequency response than dynamic mics, making them a top choice for studio recording of vocals, acoustic instruments, and broadcasts. They require an external power source, known as “phantom power,” to operate.
